Job Title: Question Researcher

Hat Trick / Hindsight Productions is seeking a Question Researcher to join its Belfast-based team for the quiz show Mastermind.

This role requires someone with a high standard of literacy and a sound general knowledge to write a wide range of accurate and engaging questions suitable for use on the show. You will be part of a team working to tight deadlines under the supervision of a Question Producer.

Experience of writing questions for media output is preferred but those who are able to demonstrate an aptitude for the role will be considered. You will be familiar with modern research techniques and be able to judge the accuracy and reliability of your sources. You will also have excellent organisational skills and be able to work productively as part of a team, building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues at all levels.

The role will be based in Belfast and initial contracts will be from March 2019.

As part of your application, please submit a sample of 20 general knowledge questions of varying difficulty suitable for use on Mastermind.

Job Title: Casting Researcher

Hat Trick / Hindsight Productions is seeking a Casting Researcher to join its Belfast-based team for the quiz show Mastermind.

This role requires someone with great people skills and a love of quiz shows.

The job would be office and studio based and would also involve audition and casting days across the UK.

Applicants must be well organised and have experience with contributors on studio based shows.

The role will be based in Belfast and initial contracts will be from March 2019.

Job Title: Production Accountant

Hat Trick/Hindsight are looking for a Production Accountant to join its production team in Belfast for the quiz show Mastermind.

Applicants must be used to working in a fast-paced environment, and be able to work with ease within a large production team.

This person needs to be confident running payroll on Sage Payroll and ideally have knowledge of pension auto enrolment. Intermediate excel skills are a must as all cost reporting will be done on Excel.

Job Title: Production Coordinator

Hat Trick/Hindsight are looking for a Production Coordinator to join its production team in Belfast for the quiz show Mastermind.

The production is looking for someone to start at the beginning of March, with the potential for the contract to go through to the end of October.

The right candidate would have previous studio and PSC shoot experience, and will have initiative and the capability to work on a high-volume production, with good people skills who is able to organise, manage and support a large team, oversee all travel and accommodation arrangements for contributors and celebrity contributors. Knowledge of producing call sheets and risk assessments, GDPR, the ‘Albert’ carbon calculator and Diamond Diversity paperwork is also preferable.
