Yellowmoon is expanding and is looking to hire personnel across three departments to work on high-end television drama, documentary and feature film projects.

All positions are trainee posts, jointly funded by Northern Ireland Screen, and are open to anyone with at least 2 months professional experience in the film and television industry. The successful candidates will be placed on a year’s contract (NMW/NLW) with a view to fulltime employment. A willingness to learn and self-motivation are crucial. The positions include:

Trainee Post Production Assistant / Data Coordinator

This position is ideal for anyone who wants a start in post! It’s a supporting role, assisting the editorial team in all aspects of post production. It’s a technical position so if data is your thing and if transcoding, ingesting and backing up are terms you’d like to get familiar with then this is the job for you! A good knowledge of IT and computers is essential and an eye for detail would be an advantage.

Trainee Assistant Editor – Drama

This position is ideal for anyone who aspires to be a Drama Editor. If you find yourself wanting to cut and not just watch shows like Dublin Murders, Line of Duty and Game of Thrones then this is where you want to be. Assisting in Drama is notoriously demanding, often involving long hours for little thanks but for those who stick it out – a great and rewarding career awaits!

Trainee Online / Grading Assistant

This is a position for anyone who likes the technical and the creative side of post-production. Grading and onlining are part of the picture finishing side of things and as such attract people who like to combine creative flair with technical know-how. Reliability, knowledge along with an obsessive eye for detail are the key characteristics for this job. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to learn and understand the many facets of post-production workflows, colour pipelines and delivery systems. A good knowledge of IT is essential and any prior experience in grading would be an advantage.
