Matthew, a social worker undergoes hypnotherapy after being referred to a psychiatrist following aggressive behaviour at work. The reason for his behaviour soon becomes clear. Claire under his charge is missing and convinced he knows who she was last seen with he urges Stein to help him identify this man through regressive hypnosis. Consumed by guilt at her disappearance Matthew has become delusional. When faced with the truth about Claire’s fate after stealing his patient’s notes, it soon becomes evident that Matthew’s recollections of events are not all that they seem, with deadly consequences for Claire’s step father.
