New Entrant Training

Date Posted: January 13, 2022

We are running a three-day training course aimed at new entrants to the film & TV industry.

The course is open to anyone wishing to get their foot through the door and to get a better understanding of how a professional film or TV set works. There are 36 spaces available and the training will take place from Tuesday 1st February to Thursday 3rd February between 9am – 5.30pm. You must be available to attend all three dates.

Each day will cover key elements so that on completion of the training, candidates will be ’set-ready’ and more confident to apply for future trainee opportunities on productions. Delivery of the training will be a mixture of online and in person sessions. In person sessions will take place at a venue in Belfast where social distancing measures will be in place. Successful candidates will also need to provide a negative LFT or PCR test (NHS text or email within previous 48 hours).

The course includes the following;

  • Set etiquette including a who’s who of departments and responsibilities
  • BECTU Creative Industries Health & Safety Passport (certificate valid for 3 years)
  • Emergency First Aid in the Workplace (certificate valid for 3 years)

***There is no charge to attend this course***
