Grip course in Belfast

Grip Etc Ltd is hoping to run a Grip course in Belfast this March for people currently working in the industry who have an interest in becoming a Grip. The course will also be relevant to all working Grips who wish to expand their skillset. Grip Etc is now inviting you to register your interest in attending.

The course will demonstrate and teach basic Grip skills and also more advanced techniques including camera crane, remote head set up and operational techniques.

Course Date:

It is proposed that the course will be held over 3 days in March 2016 (dates to be confirmed).

Course Content:

Day 1: The Basics

  • What is a Grip and what are their duties?
  • Learning the Kit
  • Grip responsibilities
  • Grip safety

Day 2: Using the kit

  • Setting up
  • Tall and short legs
  • Top hats
  • Bazookas
  • Camera Dolly
  • Camera Track

Day 3: Techniques

  • Tracking the camera
  • Jibbing the camera
  • Setting up a camera crane
  • Camera crane shot techniques

Equipment supplied for the course will include:

Chapman Camera Dollies, Moviebird Telescopic Camera Cranes ,Talon Remote System, Geared and Fluid Camera Heads, Short Legs ,Bazookas, Top Hats, Paganinies , Camera Boxes, Wedges etc.
