‘Sketchy Business: Making it in Animation’

Welcome to our opening event for RTS Futures NI’s 2019 Crafts and Skills Season!

Interested in the art of animation? Want to hear from award winning animtors from such networks as Nickelodeon, BBC and Amazon Prime? Then you’ve came to the right place!

Our first event, ‘Sketchy Business: Making it in Animation’, will host a panel discussion with key figures from the animation sector in NI, talking about careers, personal journeys and how to best make your mark in such a growing field.

The panel will is made up of four key speakers from Jam Media:

–          Niall Mooney (DEVELOPMENT CREATIVE / VFX SUPERVISOR / DIRECTOR)

–          Jessica Patterson (ART DEPARTMENT / ANIMATOR)

–          Marc Bell (LEAD COMPOSITOR/ VFX SUPERVISOR)

–          Simon Kelleghan (ANIMATION DIRECTOR)

‘The Ultimate Presenters Panel’

Welcome to our second event of RTS Futures NI’s 2019 Crafts and Skills Season!

Have you got the gift of the gab? Want to know how to make it in the as a broadcast presenter? Well look no further than ‘The Ultimate Presenters Panel’!

We have got some of the biggest names in TV and radio in NI gathered for a night of discussion about careers, the do’s and don’ts of presenting, and how to best get your foot in the door of one of the most notoriously competitive sectors in the media industry.

This event will be hosted by RTS Futures NI Vice-chair, Conor Finn, who will present the event and moderate the discussion between the following presenters:

Join RTS Futures NI for a night with one of the biggest names in photography, Game of Throne’s own, Helen Sloan. This intimate evening is will allow buddying photographers and Game of Thrones fanatics alike to hear about one of the most exciting, yet often overlooked sectors in the creative industry, stills photography, from the incredibly talented Helen Sloan as she discusses her career, crafts and professional experience working on shoots and Game of Thrones, followed by a Q&A session.

‘Zero Budget Filmmaking: A How-to Guide’

Welcome to our fourth and final event of RTS Futures NI’s 2019 Crafts and Skills Season!

Have you got a film you passionately want to make, but are worried about not having a budget? Well worry no more, in our ‘How to make a Free Film’ event we have two industry professionals, Thomas Scott and Steve Earley, who will talk you through how to make a zero budget production with no industry contacts. This will be followed by a short seminar from local actor, Frank Cannon, who will discuss production and etiquette when working with unpaid talent.

The event will be hosted by three speakers mentioned above:
