Date Posted: September 12, 2019

Vogue Williams will host this year’s Royal Television Society (RTS) NI Programme Awards, sponsored by Ka-Boom at The MAC, Belfast on Thursday 7th November, 2019.

Born in Ireland, Vogue is well known to audiences in Northern Ireland as the presenter of travel series Getaways on BBC NI and RTE. She’s also a DJ, model and fitness fanatic who found fame in RTE’s reality show Fade Street in 2010 which followed her DJ career and work at Stellar magazine. She then went on to appear in the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars and later appeared in ITV’s Stepping Out before returning to ITV screens in 2015 when she was crowned the winner of Bear Grylls: Mission Survive on ITV1 beating Olympic Gold medalist Dame Kelly Homes and ex-England rugby world cup winner Mike Tindall.

2019 saw Vogue appear, alongside her husband, Spencer Matthews in their E4 show ‘Spencer, Vogue and Baby Too’ with a second series set to return soon.

Vogue said: “I’m really looking forward to coming to Belfast to host this year’s RTS NI Programme Awards. It is great to see the Northern Ireland film and television industry thriving over recent years. It promises to be a great night’s celebration of content and talent across all genres.”

The RTS NI has partnered with BBC Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen, Channel 4 and UTV along with headline sponsor Ka-Boom for these prestigious awards.

Kieran Doherty, Chair of RTS NI said: “Vogue is a highly experienced and talented television presenter and we are delighted she has agreed to host our Awards this year, shining a spotlight on the incredible talent here in Northern Ireland.”

Judging in each category will be carried out independently by an experienced internal jury with winners being announced at the special awards ceremony at The Mac, Belfast on Thursday 7th November.
