Date Posted: July 17, 2017

The following is a message on behalf of Yellowmoon

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of former graduate Aaron O’Neill at the tender age of 29.

Aaron joined Yellowmoon via the Northern Ireland Screen ‘Post 2012’ Scheme as a sound trainee in April of that year. He immediately showed a flair for post sound an was quickly promoted to Dubbing Mixer, working on documentary, drama and feature films, alongside some of the best film makers in the business.  He contributed to shows such as Line Of Duty, The Fall and Game Of Thrones and he was lead Re-recording Mixer on dramas such as Millie Inbetween, The Lodge and Dani’s Castle, as well as countless feature Documentaries and some acclaimed feature films as well.

Greg Darby, managing director of Yellowmoon said of Aaron, “Aaron demonstrated very quickly a huge talent for post sound. More importantly, his warmth, humour, generosity and professionalism made him a favourite with clients and co-workers alike. His easy going nature always a calming influence in the dubbing suite in times of stress and pressure. He was an integral part of our sound team Yellowmoon and will be sorely missed. Not only have we lost one of our brightest talents but no doubt the Northern Ireland Film Industry has lost one of it’s future stars”
