SCÉIM NA nIONTRÁLAITHE NUA | ILBF NEW ENTRANT SCHEME


Tá iarratais á lorg ag an Chiste Craoltóireachta Gaeilge ó dhaoine a bhfuil Gaeilge líofa acu do Scéim na nIontrálaithe Nua. I rith na scéimeanna lánaimseartha beidh na hoiliúnaithe ag foghlaim cheird na teilifíse agus iad ar socrúchán ag comhlachtaí léiriúcháin teilifíse i dTuaisceart Éireann.

Is socrúchán bliana ar íocaíocht (ar íosphá) í an scéim d’Iontrálaithe Nua i Scileanna Teilifíse agus í dírithe ar dhaoine a bhfuil an earnáil nua acu – [8 áit ar fad]. Caithfidh Gaeilge líofa a bheith ag na hoiliúnaithe, idir labhairt agus scríobh.

Spriocdháta le haghaidh iarratas: 5.00i.n. Dé Luain, 14ú Meitheamh 2021 (ní ghlacfar le haon iarratas i ndiaidh an spriocdháta).

Beidh na hagallaimh ar siúl ar an 17ú & 18ú Meitheamh agus tús curtha leis an scéim ar an 6ú Meán Fómhair 2021.

Critéir riachtanacha:

  • Scileanna cumarsáide den chéad scoth, idir labhartha agus scríofa, i nGaeilge agus i mBéarla.
  • Eolas ar an chultúr Gaelach.
  • Spéis as cuimse sna meáin, go háirthe na meáin Ghaeilge.
  • Ábalta úsáid a bhaint as na córais fhaisnéise.
  • Ábaltacht a bheith ag obair faoi bhrú agus i dtreo sprioc-amanna.
  • An cumas caidrimh a fhorbairt agus a bheith ag obair le daoine eile mar pháirt de fhoireann.

Critéir inmhianaithe:

  • Cáilíocht tríú leibhéal go háirithe sna hábhair seo a leanas: na Meáin Chumarsáide; an Ghaeilge; Cuntasaíocht; Staidéar Gnó; Dlí.
  • Taithí phraiticiúil sna meáin.

Téarmaí agus Coinníollacha Fostaíochta

Ionad:            Socraíonn ILBF daoine atá faoi oiliúint le comhlachtaí léiriúcháin agus teilifíse i gceantar Bhéal Feirste chomh maith leis an chuid eile de Thuaisceart Éireann.

Tréimhse:     Maireann rannpháirtíocht sa scéim 12 mhí faoi réir tréimhse phromhaidh dhá sheachtain déag.

Tuarastal:     Ar aon dul le rialacháin rialtais a íoctar daoine faoi oiliúint. Más 21 bliain nó níos sine, £8.36 san uair an ráta (Íosphá Náisiúnta). Más 23 bliain nó níos sine, £8.91 san uair an ráta (Pá Maireachtála Náisiúnta).

Uaireanta:     40 uair sa tseachtain.

Saoire:           Tá daoine faoi oiliúint i dteideal 20 lá saoire íoctha sa bhliain (le cois laethanta saoire poiblí).

Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund is seeking applications from fluent Irish speakers for the ILBF New Entrant Scheme in Television Skills. Trainees on the scheme will learn the craft of television while on placement with television production companies throughout Northern Ireland.

The ILBF New Entrant Scheme is a 12-month paid placement (national minimum/living wage) aimed at those who are new to the industry – 8 training places in total. Essential criteria for the scheme require applicants to be fluent in written and spoken Irish.

The trainees are placed with television production companies and with the local TV station in Belfast and other locations in Northern Ireland.

The deadline for applications is Monday 14th June 2021 at 5pm. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted.

We are planning to hold interviews on the 17th of June and the 18th of June with a proposed start date of 6th September 2021.

Person Specification

 Essential Criteria

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both Irish and English
  • Knowledge of Irish language culture
  • A keen interest in media, particularly relating to Irish language
  • Competent in the use of Information Systems
  • An ability to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines
  • An aptitude for developing relationships and working with others as part of a team

Desirable Criteria

  • A third level qualification in Irish, Media Studies, Accounting, Business Studies or Law
  • Practical media experience

Terms And Conditions Of Employment

Location:      ILBF places the trainees with production and television companies in the Belfast area as well as the rest of Northern Ireland.

Duration:      Participation in the scheme is for 12 months subject to a twelve week probationary period.

Salary:           Trainees are paid in line with government regulations. If aged 21 years or over, the hourly rate is £8.36  per hour (National Minimum Wage). If aged 23 years or over, the hourly rate is £8.91 per hour (National Living Wage).

Hours:           40 hours per week.

Holidays:      The trainee shall (in addition to public holidays) be entitled to 20 working days paid holiday each year.
