FIFTH CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO THE ULSTER-SCOTS BROADCAST FUND
Northern Ireland Screen is pleased to announce the fifth call for the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund. The closing date for the fifth call is 5pm on Friday 27th April 2012.
Please note that the funding of television programmes by the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund is dependent on a broadcaster having indicated that it wishes to broadcast the programme proposed.
It remains a recommendation that applicants to the fund provide a greater degree of detail on the proposed projects than is presently demanded by a broadcaster at application stage.
Due consideration should be given to the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund Priorities prior to making any application to either a broadcaster or the fund. The Priorities, which remain unchanged from the third call, are designed to steer potential applicants towards themes and subject matter that is likely to attract support from the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund. Please note that BBC NI’s call for Ulster-Scots
projects is consistent with the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund Priorities. For the avoidance of doubt, the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund will accept applications with support from all broadcasters with significant reach in Northern Ireland.
We would also encourage potential applicants to engage with consultants who could provide the level of understanding of Ulster-Scots themes that will be required. Northern Ireland Screen may be able to guide potential applicants towards a number of suitable consultants if required.
Guidelines, Priorities and application forms are all available to download in the ‘media and downloads’ section to the right of this page.
Please contact Richard Williams or Suzanne Harrison if you have any queries.
