Northern Ireland Skillset Media Academy

What is it?

Northern Ireland Skillset Media Academy is part of the UK-wide Skillset Media Academy Network, a national footprint of colleges and universities that work with industry in developing the new wave of media talent.

The network was devised by Skillset and is made up of 23 Academies, drawing together creative education partnerships from colleges and universities across the UK.

Offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, short courses and Continuing Professional Development, the Skillset Media Academies bring academia and the industry together to provide training that innovates to meet the challenge of the constantly evolving media industries.

The Northern Ireland Skillset Media Academy comprises Belfast Metropolitan College, North West Regional College, Southern Regional College and University of Ulster, Coleraine and offers an MA in Film and TV Management & Policy at the University of Ulster, Coleraine. Individuals may apply for a Skills Development Bursary for those already working in the industry and from the Irish Language Broadcast Fund  for Irish speakers.
