The 2010 Digital Short films are now in post-production. The four films A CROSS TO BEAR, HARDY HANDS, OF THE SEA and RING THEORY were all shot over the summer and will be delivered in August 2010. The creative teams attached are:
A CROSS TO BEAR written and directed by Ryan Tohill
HARDY HANDS written and directed by Chris Baugh
OF THE SEA written by Paul Hamilton and directed by Patrick Maxwell
RING THEORY written and directed by Joe Campo
The films are being produced by Villi Ragnarsson of Red Ray Films.
In September 2010 Northern Ireland Screen will be launching Short Steps, a short film development programme. The Scheme will have twenty places available to Northern Ireland resident writers and directors. There will be no production element attached to the scheme in 2011.
The call for entries will open on Friday 10 September 2010 and close on Friday 8 October 2010.
Northern Ireland Screen will be hosting a promotional event at the Black Box, Hill Street, Belfast on Friday 17 September 2010 from 12pm to 4pm. Participants will be able to discuss any queries and bring their project for feedback prior to application.
