Ultra Low-Budget Fiction winner "Wee Buns" now in prep

Pre-production on this year’s Ultra Low-Budget Fiction Fund winner, feature film WEE BUNS (working title) is now well underway.  

This Northern Ireland Screen initiative supports one production each year and is worth £150,000, being 75% of a maximum production budget of £200,000.

Competition for this year's fund was fierce with many excellent local film-makers applying.  However, Northern Ireland Screen was delighted to announce Colin McIvor was unanimously selected as director with Katy Jackson as producer. Chris Martin (Peacefire; Pumpgirl) will executive produce this year's selected film.

McIvor and Jackson are working alongside the writer of the comedy script Christine Murphy, which is due to start principal photography in October 2009.
