Carol Moore's short in Russian competition

THIS BELFAST THING, a short film by Northern Ireland director Carol Moore has been selected for the international competition section "Laboratory of Discoveries 2009" in this year's Open Cinema Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia.   

This is the fifth year of the international short and animation film festival, which was founded and is organised by the Art Centre BEREG with support of the Culture Committee of the St. Petersburg Government , the State Museum of St. Petersburg History  and the Saint-Petersburg Documentary Film Studio.

It is the largest international forum of short films in Russia and is an open-air event, held on the beach of the Neva river at the Peter and Paul Fortress, whose goal is to democratize and promote authored films as well as discover new names for the Russian audience.
