The 16th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival has announced Irish actor Liam Neeson as the winner of the Desert Palm Achievement Award for an Actor.
Academy Award nominee Neeson has recently completed shooting Neil Jordan’s ‘Breakfast on Pluto’ and other future projects include the upcoming biopic film ‘Kinsey’ about Alfred Kinsey, Christopher Nolan’s ‘Batman Begins’ and Ridley Scott’s ‘Kingdom Of Heaven.’
The Palm Springs International Film Festival begins on the 6th of January 2005 and Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey will be given the top honour of the Sonny Bono Visionary Award for Acting, Directing and Producing. Other honourees are Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson who will receive the Career Achievement Award for Acting and Academy Award nominee Laura Linney has been named the winner of the Desert Palm Achievement Award for an Actress.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival, scheduled from January 6-17, 2005, will include more than 200 films from approximately 60 countries.
