Craft & Technical Skills 2018

Northern Ireland screen is running a skills development scheme, Craft & Technical Skills 2018, which will provide training opportunities in varied roles in the film and television industry between April 2018 – March 2019.

Craft & Technical Skills 2018 is a paid placement scheme (NMW/NLW) where participants will gain experience on Northern Ireland Screen funded film and television projects.

We currently have two roles to be filled initially between April 2018 and June 2018.

Camera Trainee

The successful applicant will be working on a TV drama series.  You MUST have some experience working in a professional filming environment and will be familiar with the processes of production and set etiquette.  You MUST also have knowledge of professional camera systems and workflows.  Supporting the camera team, the trainee will be expected to carry out duties on an ongoing basis that helps provide a professional and efficient department.

A willingness to learn and self-motivation are crucial to this position.

Trainee AD

The successful applicant will be working on a TV drama series.  You MUST have completed Northern Ireland Screen’s AD/New Entrant Training course within the last three years to be eligible to apply for this position.  Only those people who are committed to working long term within the AD department should apply for this position.
