Northern Ireland Screen intends to run a skills development programme around the MIP markets in April and October. The programme will provide a training opportunity for fifteen junior Development Producers, Associate Producers or equivalent to experience the markets at MIP for the first time in 2013.
The aim is to encourage greater cross-collaboration between television and digital content development teams and to increase their ability to deliver content suited to the increasingly platform agnostic marketplace.
MIPFormats, MIPDoc, MIPCube and MIPTV run from 5th to 10th April 2013 and MIPCom, MIP Junior run from 4th to 9th October 2013. Northern Ireland Screen will pay for ten participants at the April markets and five at the October markets.
The programme will pay for the participants' travel, accommodation and accreditation costs across two days of MIPFormats or MIP Doc and two days of MIPTV and MIP Cube in April 2013; and for children’s content developers across two days of MIPJunior and two days of MIPCOM in October 2013. Please note participants in the April markets will not be eligible to also attend the October markets.
