Sesame Tree, Belfast based Sixteen South’s co-production with Sesame Workshop is a finalist at the prestigious 25th Prix Jeunesse International.

Taking place in June in Munich, the Prix Jeunesse International is a biennial festival which celebrates children’s television from around the world. Sesame Tree is a finalist in the pre-school fiction category.

Commenting on the success Sixteen South’s Creative Director and founder Colin Williams said: “The Prix Jeunesse received a record number of entries this year, facing such stiff competition from our global contemporaries, we are simply thrilled that Sesame Tree has made it through to the finals. This recognition helps cement our long held view that world class children’s television can be produced in Northern Ireland.”

Sesame Tree
is an award winning preschool series which airs on CBeebies. A co-production with the world-famous Sesame Workshop in New York, Sesame Tree teaches mutual respect and appreciation of difference while having lots of fun!
